Gear!
Working in collaboration with the library's award-winning wings
program and FROG family learning programs tigers provides the youth of Franklin
county (ages 10-21) with positive, motivating, educational, cultural, and
enriching activities to inspire individual growth and increase and improve
awareness, self esteem, life skills, basic skills, employability, and positive
decision making.
What we offer to help our young people move on up!
Education is our top priority. Homework help and tutoring.
One-on-one goal setting and guidance with each member.
exciting field trips to cultural, education, and career exploration events.
group activities to build social skills and leadership; to prevent teen pregnancy; to develop high self-esteem; to foster artistic expression; to increase life skills; and to encourage responsible choices.
paid and unpaid internship experiences and summer employment at locations especially chosen to achieve youth's goals.
With a case manager teens
make individual plans that best suit their interests, talents, goals, needs, and
dreams.
Participation in all aspects of TIGERS is required
in order for our youth to receive the most well-rounded and enriching experience
possible!
